The Second Amendment, as passed by the House and Senate, reads:
“ A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
The original and copies distributed to the states, and then ratified by them, had different capitalization and punctuation:
“ A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. ”
Both versions are commonly used in official government publications.
The original hand-written copy of the Bill of Rights, approved by the House and Senate,was prepared by scribe William Lambert and hangs in the National Archives".

NOTE: Contrary to the NRA billion dollar backed spin the Second Amendment states clearly that unless you are a bonafide member of "a well regulated militia" you do not have the right to bear arms!
The needed action is for all states to organize a militia where citizens are trained
and taught respect for the use, handling, safety and care of fire arms in order to become members of the militia having the rights granted under the Second Amendment to bear arms.
Of course legal sport and hunting rifles will NOT be considered "arms".
This action will put a stop to the NRA corporate gun runners who have sold America
nearly three hundred million guns that kill 34 Americans every day and greedily want to sell us 300 million more.
If the NRA can lobby for what ever interpretation the Second Amendment they need to sell more guns...we can interpret it to what it is clear our Founding fathers meant.
